Peer Support

Peer Support (PS) serves as a non-clinical service for families and youth in the child serving systems for Luzerne and Wyoming Counties. Leveraging their own lived experiences, the PS team aids families in enhancing their strengths to improve functioning at home, in school, and within the community. Through education, resource linkage, and problem-solving, PS empowers parents and caregivers to understand and support their youth’s unique needs. By adopting a participant-driven, trauma-informed, and strength-based approach, PS helps families reach their desired goals and places. Our certified peer support specialists build trust by relating to the participant and sharing parts of their own story.

To invite us to join your wellness journey, or for additional information and inquiries about our Peer Support Services, please reach out to Bobbi Jean Bair at 570-285-5204 or bbair@families4kids.org.
