About Us

Who We Are

Families United Network embarked on its mission on July 1, 1996, establishing itself as a premier provider of private foster care. This Pennsylvania-based, non-profit organization is duly licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services to operate as a voluntary child welfare agency. Initially, the agency commenced its operations by offering foster care services to a modest number of children across various counties, focusing on the central, western, and north central regions of Pennsylvania. Presently, Families United Network extends its care to over five hundred children, encompassing foster care, adoption, and residential services across numerous offices and residential facilities throughout the state. In its pursuit to continuously enhance and expand its services, the organization regularly evaluates and implements new programs aimed at supporting children and families. Operations are conducted Monday to Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., supplemented by an on-call service available 24/7.

Our Mission

Families United Network is dedicated to strengthening families by providing children and youth with a safe, nurturing, community environment through a continuum of services, which focuses on reunification or permanency.
