Maintenance Worker - Part Time
                                                                                                                   
REQUIREMENTS:
• High school diploma and two (2) years of maintenance-related experience OR a minimum of five (5) years of maintenance-related experience.
• Child Abuse, State Police, and FBI clearances - to be paid for by the agency.
• Sensitivity to service population’s cultural and socioeconomic characteristics.
• Valid driver's license.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Perform maintenance and repairs of easy-to-moderate difficulty to facility structures, including carpentry, painting, plumbing, and electrical repairs and installations, while adhering to safety procedures.
• Perform maintenance and repairs to facility grounds while adhering to safety procedures.
• Make recommendations to Administration on the maintenance requirements of facilities and preventive or remedial actions.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance repairs, requisitions of supplies, and safety procedures.
• Review all supply, material, and equipment purchases and rentals with Administration prior to requisitions.
• Maintain walkways and common areas to ensure safety of staff, clients, and visitors.
• Assist in scheduling and overseeing contractor’s proposals and subsequent work.
• Agree to serve in an on-call capacity for after-hours emergencies.
• Assist with quarterly facility inspections and with correction of any deficiencies.

Arborvale Manor - Lancaster, PA

Youth Advocates - Full Time & Part Time                                                                                       

Youth Advocates are positive mentors who help guide and make a difference in teens' lives. We need direct support professionals to work with adolescent males in a 24-hour group home setting. Interested applicants must be available to work on call as needed. Additional opportunities may be available based upon performance.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or GED and one (1) year of work experience with children preferred.
  • Sensitivity to service population’s cultural and socioeconomic characteristics.
  • Eligibility under current Pennsylvania legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License.

Ashler Manor - Muncy, PA
Community Based Residential Care Services for Adolescent Female

Lead Group Home Supervisor                                                                                                          

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Associate’s degree in social work-related field plus at least two (2) years of experience working with children/youth.
  • Eligibility under current PA legal and regulatory requirements
  • Valid Driver’s License for state of residence (if required for position)
  • PA Child Abuse, State Police, and FBI clearances
  • Sensitivity to service population’s cultural and social economic characteristics
  • Ability to successfully complete the Safe Crisis Management curriculum

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work-related field plus at least two (2) years of experience working with children/youth.
  • Supervisory/team leading experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Report to the Program Supervisor.
  • Supervise Group Home Supervisors.
  • Ensure that Group Home Supervisors effectively supervise their assigned Youth Advocates.
  • Ensure staffing patterns are within regulatory ratios and reflect programmatic and client needs.
  • Provide direct supervision, support, guidance, and companionship for residents.
  • Conduct staff training, orientation, and staff performance evaluations as needed or assigned.
  • Specific trainings assigned will include Safe Crisis Management, group facilitation, on-the-job training, and the new hire development plan.
  • Ensure program routines and activities are implemented consistently and as scheduled, in accordance with agency policies and procedures.
  • Project a professional image and atmosphere with clients, colleagues, and visitors, and ensure that others do the same.
  • Review documentation, any medication errors, recordable and reportable incident reports, as well as safety watch documentation.
  • Review incident reports involving restraints for quality, accountability, and identification of areas for improvement.
  • Ensure that staff submit necessary documentation, either for the client record or outside disbursement, in a professional and timely manner.
  • Assume on-call responsibility as assigned.
  • Meet on a consistent basis with Program Supervisor to discuss group home operations.
  • Oversee and delegate use of program funds to direct care staff, ensuring receipts are properly submitted.
  • Ensure program equipment is in good working order and remains hazard-free.
  • Complete the Monthly Inspection Checklist for the Ashler Dorm program.
  • Coordinate transportation in regards to Dorm residents’ appointment schedules.
  • Complete other duties, within reason, that are necessary to provide for the safety and wellbeing of a child or children as would a parent.

 

Group Home Supervisor                                                                                                                                                     
Full-time Group Home Supervisors assist in the successful operation of our residential program that serves adolescent females, acting as positive mentors and working with our staff to help guide and make a difference in teens' lives.

Duties include ensuring that staffing patterns are within regulatory compliance and reflect the needs of the program at all times; ensuring that program routines and activities are implemented consistently and as scheduled in accordance with policies, procedures, and regulations; completing staff performance evaluations; and completing other daily or situational documentation.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Associate's degree or 60 credit hours from an accredited college or university and three (3) years of work experience with children OR a bachelor's degree and one (1) year of work experience with children.
  • Sensitivity to the service population’s cultural and socioeconomic characteristics.
  • State Police, FBI, and Child Abuse clearances are required for this position and will be paid for by the agency, if necessary.
  • Successful incumbent will be required to successfully complete the Safe Crisis Management curriculum.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age per Department of Human Services regulations.

Youth Advocate                                                                                                                                Youth Advocates are positive mentors who help guide and make a difference in teens' lives. We need a direct support professional to work on a casual basis with adolescents in a group home setting. This person would cover our on-call needs at our Arborvale location. Interested applicants must be available to work second shift and weekends on an as-needed basis. Additional opportunities may be available based upon performance.
