FOSTER CARE CASE MANAGER                                                                                                             Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree required. Degree in social work or a related field preferred.
• Two (2) years of experience in working with children.
• Ability to form appropriate working relationships with adults and children from a variety of backgrounds.
• Ability to promote, encourage, and participate in team efforts.
• Ability to solve problems in a resourceful and appropriate way.
• Willingness to learn and develop professionally.
• Sensitivity to service population's cultural and socioeconomic characteristics.
• Valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License.
• Eligibility under current PA legal and regulatory requirements

Responsobilities:
The Foster Care Case Manager will understand and accept the purpose of the Families United Network, Inc. and perform work requirements in a manner that will further the agency’s purpose. The Case Manager is responsible for being sensitive to problems and solving them in a resourceful way, for intelligently planning ahead to prevent problems and increase opportunities, and for going beyond mere compliance and cooperation to active support, encouragement, and teamwork.
Specific job duties include meeting with families and children in care to monitor progress and adjustments in placement status; participating in and providing leadership in planning and carrying out activities which will promote well-being, happiness, problem-solving abilities, and personal development for children in care; assisting and supporting resource families and children in developing relationships which will make possible and promote a safe, welcoming environment; ensuring that transportation is available, as needed; and ensuring that all documentation, progress reports, incident reports, social summaries, and other written reports are completed as required.

Community Based Residential Care Services for Adolescent Males

Youth Advocates- Full Time & Part Time

Our agency is dedicated to strengthening families by providing children and youth with a safe, nurturing, community environment through a continuum of services. Youth Advocates are positive mentors who help guide and make a difference in teens' lives. We need a direct support professional to work on a casual basis with adolescents (ages for Arborvale and WRM are 15-20) in a group home setting. This person would cover our on-call needs at our Arborvale and White Rose locations. Interested applicants must be available to work second shift and weekends on an as needed basis. Additional opportunities may be available based upon performance.
REQUIREMENTS:
• High school diploma or GED and one (1) year of work experience with children preferred.

• Maintain a clean, safe environment to ensure safety and well-being.
• Comply with established program rules, guidelines, policies, and procedures.
• Complete all documentation that is required to occur on a daily or situational basis (incident reports, doctor visits, etc).
• Ensure that recreational activities are available for residents.
• Ensure that residents receive weekly allowance money.
• Assist in requesting clothing allowance and ensure resident clothing shopping is completed in a timely manner; submit receipts as required
• Administer resident medications, according to policy.
• Monitor resident completion of required life skills activities.
• Ensure that menu planning, food and household supply inventories, and supply shopping are completed.
• Monitor physical site safety and sanitary conditions, including kitchen cleanliness, chore completion, and trash removal.
• Keep staff office and common spaces clean, neat, and free from hazard at all times.
• Role model and explain proper daily supervision to Youth Advocates.
• Attend all scheduled staff meetings and in-service trainings.
• Meet with direct supervisor on a consistent basis for supervision sessions.
• Complete other duties, within reason, that are necessary to provide for the safety and welfare of a child or children as would a parent.

 

GROUP HOME SUPERVISOR
Our residential program is dedicated to strengthening families by providing children and youth with a safe, nurturing, community environment through a continuum of services. Full-time Group Home Supervisors assist in the successful operation of our residential program that serves adolescent females, acting as positive mentors and working with our staff to help guide and make a difference in teens' lives.
Duties include ensuring that staffing patterns are within regulatory compliance and reflect the needs of the program at all times; ensuring that program routines and activities are implemented consistently and as scheduled in accordance with policies, procedures, and regulations; completing staff performance evaluations; and completing other daily or situational documentation.

Interested applicants must be available to work second shift and weekends.

Additional opportunities may be available based upon performance.

REQUIREMENTS:
· Associate's degree or 60 credit hours from an accredited college or university and three (3) years of work experience with children OR a bachelor's degree and one (1) year of work experience with children.
· Sensitivity to the service population’s cultural and socioeconomic characteristics.
· State Police, FBI, and Child Abuse clearances are required for this position and will be paid for by the agency, if necessary.
· Successful incumbent will be required to successfully complete the Safe Crisis Management curriculum.
