Families United Network Mount Joy Office Awarded Grant from the Abigail L. Longenecker Memorial Foundation

The Families United Network (FUN) Mount Joy office is excited to announce that we have been selected as a recipient of a grant from the Abigail L. Longenecker Memorial Foundation. Abby’s Foundation is renowned for its dedication to supporting local nonprofit organizations through funding specific projects that benefit children within Lancaster County.

Our successful grant proposal will be utilized to establish a special account aimed at providing foster youth with the opportunity to engage in a variety of extracurricular activities. These activities range from sports and music lessons to summer camps and more. By offering our foster youth the chance to participate in interests of their choice, we aim to enrich their lives with positive experiences and developmental opportunities.

“We are immensely grateful to the Abigail L. Longenecker Memorial Foundation for their generous support,” said Kristin Meeks, Foster Care Program Office Supervisor. “This grant will make a profound difference in the lives of our foster youth, allowing them to pursue their passions and build cherished memories.”
