Families United Network, a Pennsylvania nonprofit and private foster care provider, today announced that its Chief Executive Officer, Ron Simon, has been elected to serve as a member of the Board of Directors for the Pennsylvania Council of Children, Youth and Family Services (PCCYFS).
The appointment recognizes Simon’s leadership and his longstanding commitment to strengthening families and communities across the Commonwealth. In his new role, he will help guide and support the mission of PCCYFS, the collective voice for private agencies serving Pennsylvania’s most vulnerable children and their families.
PCCYFS represents private agencies that employ more than 12,000 professionals statewide. Member organizations deliver a wide range of services, including foster care and kinship care, adoption, residential treatment, behavioral health services, education, counseling, and independent living and transitional living services. By serving on the board, Simon joins a network of leaders dedicated to advocating for both providers and the children, youth, and families they support.
The appointment also strengthens the connection between Families United Network and the broader community of providers working to improve outcomes for children and families statewide. As a board member, Simon will contribute to PCCYFS initiatives focused on advocacy, professional support, and the continued advancement of services for vulnerable populations.
